Access to representation to lobby Government and Clients
CONSTRUCT acts as a collective industry voice, representing the concrete structures industry to Government, leading client organisations and other key stakeholders. CONSTRUCT is also a member of Build UK, which represents the contracting supply chain in construction. Through membership of Build UK, CONSTRUCT has representation on a wide range of industry task groups which allows members to have a say on a large spectrum of issues that cover the whole construction sector.

CONSTRUCT is managed by an elected Council of representatives from Contractor, Supplier and Industry Association member companies, and therefore is run by people who know the industry inside and out.

Dedicated Training Support
Dedicated Training Support
CONSTRUCT runs the Concrete Frame Training Group (CFTF) where members receive and share information of skills, training and qualifications. The Training Group also provides funding to support members’ training requirements and to help secure greater CITB levy return. The Group develops specific training guidance documents, and members have access to the CFTF Training Officer for company specific queries.

Through membership of Build UK, CONSTRUCT members get access to free helplines which issue advice on areas such as contract law, tax, employment, health & safety, insurance, training and much more. These include specific helplines to help you through the challenges posed by COVID-19, such as managing contracts.

Access to higher rate of CITB Grant
Access to higher rate of CITB Grant
The Concrete Frame Training Forum (CFTF) applied for funding directly from external organisations such as CITB. Members can exclusively access these funds to support their training. Last year our members claimed an additional £63,000 over and above their standard CITB grant claims.

CONSTRUCT holds regular events throughout the year to encourage collaborative working across the sector and the rest of the supply chain, to discuss key issues, improve services and promote best practice. CONSTRUCT Day, our annual flagship event, attracts approximately 600 representatives from the concrete structures industry and wider supply chain. The event offers sponsorship and an exhibition so that members can showcase their brand in front of industry key players. CONSTRUCT also runs a number of social events including golf days, giving members the chance to network in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

The Awards give members the opportunity to not only showcase the fantastic projects they have been working on throughout the year, but also to celebrate the achievements and hard work of the construction workforce through specific award categories.
